2026 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about THADDEUS DIXON:

North Carolina | Hometown: Los Angeles, CA | HT: 6005 | WT: 195 | 40 time: 4.50 | Hand: 1014 | Arm: 3118 | Wing: 7614

Two year starter, one at Washington. Transferred to North Carolina in 2025. Played two years at Long Beach City College in 2021-22 before enrolling at Washington. Played in only seven games for the Tar Heels due to a leg injury in October. Has an ideal frame for an outside corner with a slightly slender build and above average length. High energy corner with an aggressive demeanor. Has played primarily outside but with matchups has moved into the slot shadowing the opponents' best receiver. Has experience in multiple coverage including off and press man, Cover 2, 3 and quarters. As a press defender will throw an off or two hand jam on the release and can be physical disrupting at the stem. In off coverage shows a smooth pedal timing lateral run to turn and run to maintain interval. As a zone defender he's fluid getting his back to the boundary as the cushion breaks. Has the speed to stay in phase on deep routes and can be sticky cutting off route breaks. Positions well to re-route in hard corner Cover 2 and quickly sinks under intermediate routes with no threats underneath. Effective reading route combinations and is explosive coming out of his break, reacting to underneath throws. Has solid ball skills getting his hands to the catch point and has been productive playing the ball. Excellent hustle he sticks to it as a backside chase defender playing to the whistle. Flashes tackling skill with good bend and drive but will miss overrunning plays in space at times. Has some trouble in press with small quick receivers' double moves. Needs to consistently ignore the first move away from leverage. Tends to get grabby if separated on a route break. Dixon helped his cause with an outstanding Senior Bowl. He has NFL starter potential.
