Two year starter. Started his collegiate career at Wisconsin for two years and transferred to Penn State for his final two. Coming from a family of accomplished athletes, he is the son of former NFL player Todd Rucci. In 2023, caught a game winning tackle eligible pass to beat Illinois while at Wisconsin. In his last two seasons at Penn State, he played in 28 games with 18 starts. As a right tackle he has proven to be a tough, durable player who finishes plays with a nasty attitude. Interestingly, he may be a better pass protector than he is a run blocker. Has shown a good punch with his excellent reach. Works hard on keeping a good low base with a good lower half helping his anchor. A smooth athletic tackle with excellent footwork. Gets to his aiming point. His feet point him upward, with some work in his core strength. Needs to continue to develop his overall strength. Lower half strength will be essential for his continued progress. Was a participant in the Shrine Bowl, but was snubbed by the NFL Combine. A good prospect for a developmental position. His size intangibles can't be coached, but his toolbox will continue to be a work in progress. Lauded by his college coach for his preparation in approaching the game. His effort and work ethic will not be in question. Has a good football pedigree. Should add depth to someone's roster.
