Two year starter. First-team All-Big 12 in 2025. Began his collegiate career at Southern Cal in 2021 and transferred to Ole Miss in 2022-23 before arriving at Baylor. He's a long, thick, well- sized tight end. Athletic with exceptional speed, he is able to stretch the defense both vertically and horizontally. Has a good burst and ability to read the holes in zone coverage. Explodes out of his stance and can get to top speed in a hurry running the seam. Shows good arm length on his catch radius. Makes the tough catches consistently. Playing a slot receiver is his true calling as he can be a mismatch for inside defenders. With movement and various alignments he can cause major difficulties for the defense. Strong enough to anchor the line attached but blocks better as a move tight end in space. As a move blocker, tracks his man with a good aiming point and flashes ability to sustain blocks. Athletic enough to play the role of big receiver but blocking is not his strength. Struggles in run blocking, with his hand placement and getting knocked off his base. Pad level too high, needs to settle in and square up. Too many drops from a next level guy. Concentration may be the issue, because he flashes brilliance at other times. Overall, has had an inconsistent career, needs to prove himself every game this season. It appears he has reenergized himself. Needs to continue to sharpen his game. Has shown that he can make the plays at tight end, now he needs to show the true consistency needed by a pro.
