Two-year starter. Transfer from Virginia Tech prior to the 2025 season. Explosive athlete who fires around the field. Plays his best football towards the box using his physical playstyle. From depth he can hold his own in two-high schemes with his intelligence and tracking skills. Underneath he is great at midpointing multiple threats and triggers quickly when the egg is cracked. Notable closing speed to help him meet the ball at the catchpoint. Physical in man coverage to slow receivers down and disrupt timing. Impressive speed allowing him to carry faster receivers on downfield routes. Sniffs out screens immediately and fires downhill with violence to tackle in the backfield. Flies into the box like a battering ram to demolish running backs at the line. His assertiveness and violence help him bring ball carriers to the ground. High effort player who is an excellent candidate for special teams. Light frame will make it difficult to take advantage of his strengths at the next level, but has room for growth. Marginal range over the top and struggles to cover sideline-to-sideline from depth. Gets looked off by the quarterback regularly and can get out of position. Transition quickness can be a step slow when breaking downhill. Tough when taking on blocks but struggles to shed and stack consistently. Bigger runners can drag him for significant yards-after-contact. Despite weaknesses, many are fixable and he can be a suitable player at the next level.
