Two-year starter. Spent five years at North Carolina Central where he earned All-MEAC honors twice, first team in 2024. Transferred to Virginia in 2025 and was first team All-ACC. Taylor is a rocked up, stout back who can bounce off defenders at all three levels and pick up yards after contact. His contributions as a pass catcher will add value to his third down capabilities and potential. His success rate as a short-yardage ball carrier widens his scope which will make it easy for him to find a spot on an NFL depth chart. The lack of top end speed and agility may hinder his big play potential. He simply knows how to play the position and can wear a few hats which has value as a number two or three back. A strong and sturdy lower body helps him remain firm against contact. Stays small as defenders approach him and will be tough to square up. Late movement and contact balance will be created after initial contact. Shows a great feel for defenders, space, and angles. Natural pass catcher who can snag the ball on the move and get north instantly. Strong ball security with good placement and awareness. Will get high as he runs through inside gaps in traffic. Tight hips limit his lateral adjustments and timing. Will struggle to create explosives once past the second level, lacking that gear to create separation. Approach as a blocker is high-effort and multiple but struggles to sustain.
