Three year starter. Started games at three different levels. Spent two seasons at Diablo Valley Junior College and then transferred to Appalachian State for two more years where he earned All-Sun Belt honors twice. Finished his career at Tennessee in 2025. He leveled up multiple times over his career and ended as the SEC's leading passer this past season. In fact, he led the country passing touchdowns on balls that traveled over 35 yards and nobody threw the ball 40+ yards downfield more than he did in 2025. While the aggressive passer does have a knack for creating explosives, there are other elements to his game worth trying to develop as well. He gets the ball out fast, avoids sacks, and does not get deterred by pressure. That and how well he responded to the double-transfer situation he had to undergo. After committing to UCLA in December 2024 he changed schools in April without a guarantee of the starting role let alone a high level of success. All these signs point to Aguilar being a potential sleeper in this class. Arm strength blended with excellent touch creates the idea he can make every throw without hesitation. Excellent touch between levels of the defense, not notably deep. Puts trajectory on the ball and is very receiver-friendly. Consistently shows developed footwork and overall lower body cohesion and control whether he is in the pocket or on the move. Stays calm and cool, but plays fast and aggressive. Does not always track the safety or backside coverage. Has a tendency to get reckless. Double-digit interceptions three straight years to end his career. Was often late on throws across the middle.
