2026 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about TYREAK SAPP:
Florida | Hometown: Fort Lauderdale, FL | HT: 6023 | WT: 283 | 40 time: 4.70 | Hand: 0912 | Arm: 3200 | Wing: 7634
Three year starter. Strong well-built frame with powerful upper body. He's somewhat of a tweener but shows some versatility in the way he was used at Florida. Has played from a wide 9 down to a 3 with edge reps being predominant. Used both a two and three point stance with a wide base and fundamental inside hand down, inside foot back technique. Holds the point against tight ends and tackles and is proficient setting the edge against off-tackle and outside runs. Plays with leverage and can stack and shed with powerful active hands. Solid fundamental wrap and drive tackling skill, he keeps misses to a minimum. When moving inside he can play off blocks from larger linemen and shows ability to slide laterally to make plays along the line. Plays to the whistle and will chase to the sideline. Has been effectively used to peel on backs in flat releases. Flashed ability to hit gaps and work the edge of a tackle rushing the passer. Can collapse a pocket with a bull rush showing powerful leg drive. Was more productive as a pass rusher in 2024 and seemed to lose some initial quickness in 2025. Length is average and he's inconsistent with hand usage. He's often caught hand fighting without a plan to get off the block. Lacks ideal bend around the corner and tends to get ridden wide. Is somewhat tight hipped and struggles to make plays in space. He's shown some solid reps as a 4i and 3 technique and he might find a home in a 4-3 or 3-4 as an end that slides inside on passing downs. He might need to add some bulk to move inside.
2025 Stats: 34 T, 3.5 TFL, 1 sack, 1 PBU, 3 QBH. Draft projection: 4th/5th round
