Three year starter with one at Oregon State. Third-team All-Big 10 last fall. Transferred from Oregon State in 2024 where he was second team All-PAC 12. Well put together frame but a noticeable lack of length. Played in 47 collegiate games and started 38. Has earned a good reputation as a tight end who will make the tough catches in traffic. Has no fear of running over the middle and making catches while battling contact. Runs excellent crossing routes and sit routes into the middle of the field. Recognizes the soft spot in zone defenses. As a move tight end, he shows good ability to act as a lead blocker. Has good quickness at the snap of the ball. Very accurate in finding his man on the second level. Doesn't show a big burst. Though willing, needs to refine his run blocking skills. Needs to work on the width of his base and keeping his feet and punch in rhythm. The upper body continues to need strengthening. Needs to develop his anchor strength. Teams tend to grab and run with him, and he needs to fight to get their hands off of him. Struggles to get free. If he can upgrade his run blocking skill, from a dead set, with his receiving skills, he will have a chance.
