Michigan | Hometown: Detroit, MI | HT: 6030 | WT: 298 | 40 time: 5.10 | Hand: 0914 | Arm: 3338 | Wing: 8038
One year starter. Third-team All-Big 10 in 2025. Has a thick build with good length with a plus wingspan. Has been with the program since 2021 and has some rotational snaps prior to becoming a starter. He's aligned anywhere from a 0 technique out to a 4. Flashes snap quickness especially in passing situations or attacking a gap. Solid upper and lower body strength to hold the point. His hands are normally kept inside on punch and he can lock out an offensive lineman. Strong hands allow him to stack and shed while working to the ball. Does a nice job against inline runs locating the ball and driving into tackles. Shows a club into an arm over to escape blocks. Flashes some pass rush with a stab and chop move he showed later in the season. Can play two gap, moving well laterally with active hands to keep blockers off. Has above average short space agility to re-direct inline. He's effective on inside gap slants but occasionally gets his weight too far forward and loses balance. Anchor is best against single blocks but double teams can be a problem. He tends to get tall against combo blocks and at times is washed out of the play. Moving laterally he tends to raise up and has trouble maintaining leverage against interior blockers. Hand usage has improved but is still a work in progress as his punch can drift outside and a blocker can get into his frame. Lacking in pass rush production he needs to develop consistent technique and continue to develop a pass rush arsenal. Has potential as a rotational run down player with continued development.
2025 Stats: 35 T, 3 TFL, 1.5 sacks, 2 PBU, 2 QBH. Draft projection: 3rd/4th round
