Two year starter. Allen has a massive squatty frame with below average height and length. Played primarily on the nose as a 0 and 1 technique but also has reps as a 2 and 3. Often aligned in a tilt look. Solid initial quickness, he's sudden to shoot his hands into blockers at the snap. Effective with punch to stack and shed on the move. Power base and balance allow him to consistently hold the point against single blocks. Has flashed ability to hold up and split double teams. Solid lateral mover, he was highly productive making plays along the line and in pursuit. Works hard to maintain gap integrity against reach and angle blocks; shows solid agility to redirect off a block. Plays with a hot motor and will play to the whistle. Has enough speed to chase to the alley. Can beat a blocker to the gap on a slant move with his quickness. Shows a slant and rip move to get free and square up in the hole. Reliable on inside stunts he can pick and ricochet upfield on tackle-end games. An explosive tackler, he drives through inline tackles. Has been effective with a bull rush to collapse the pocket but has little else to go with it. He tends to be slow running a rip or using hand swipes to get free. At times can get upright on gap moves and washed out of the hole by a powerful interior blocker. Lack of ideal length shows at times trying to run a move to dispatch a block. He's more than a space-eater and has rotational run down value for a team that plays an odd front.
