One year starter. Third-team All-Big 10 in 2025. Saw significant playing time in 2024 including seven starts. Decent height and frame for an outside corner. Hall played multiple techniques and coverage including quarters, Cover 2 and 3, and press and off-man. In press man, most often aligned head up and was reactive on the release without much contact. In off man, either played with a tight cushion or used a flat foot catch and run technique aligned deeper. Backpedal in off coverage is deliberate and he can quickly flip into a man or zone turn as the cushion breaks. Also effective with a press and bail into a lateral run in man and quarters concepts. Shows quick feet and a recovery burst if separated. Playing hard corner he flashes re-route skill with a two hand jam to disrupt the release. Effective getting depth to play under deep routes and break on underneath routes. Playing deep outside zone he has a feel for the quarterback's delivery and positions on multiple routes to close windows in between zones. Solid ball skill with ability to make plays on the ball in phase or recovering from behind. Aggressive in run support he can slip perimeter blocks and has range to make plays from the alley to the perimeter. Shows solid tackling skill and gets in on a lot of plays with hustle beyond his area. Will lunge at times and make shoestring tackles as a result. Some hip tightness shows up playing man coverage on double moves. Lateral agility is average and he's vulnerable covering shifty receivers on dig routes. Occasionally gives up leverage at the line, putting him in recovery mode. Hall may fit best in a zone heavy team and on special teams.
