LSU | Hometown: New Orleans, LA | HT: 6010 | WT: 223 | 40 time: 4.45 | Hand: 0818 | Arm: 3138 | Wing: 7714
Three year starter. Third-team All-SEC in 2025 but former first-team in 2023. Has a narrow build but quick twitch athleticism. He's played numerous roles in the LSU defense including edge defender, overhang player, and inside linebacker. Received the majority of his reps at inside linebacker in 2024 before a mid-season ACL injury sidelined him. Off the ball he plays sideline to sideline and can avoid blocks without losing his path to the ball. He shows block protection skill with quick hands and can and slip blocks on the move. He has a burst hitting inside gaps working downhill. and has a closing burst chasing. As a pass rusher he shows a quick first step and can accelerate around the corner to close on a quarterback. Has been effective blitzing off the edge. Has coverage potential, flashing ability to cover a slot or spot drop in zone coverage. He's adept at running the seam in Cover 2 and covers a lot of ground in underneath zones. Skilled at closing throwing lanes and is quick to break with the ball in the air. Has not been as productive post injury. He lacks power and bulk to take on straight up blocks. Tends to play upright and is too easily pushed around. Tackling can be a problem as he tackles high and often gives up yards after contact. He also had a high miss rate in 2025. Inside run fits are inconsistent and he can be late on his read and washed out. In zone coverage at times he focuses on one receiver, lacking awareness of route combinations. At this point he would be primarily a sub package and special team player. At his best he can be a versatile Swiss army knife player in multiple roles.
2025 Stats: 56 T, 8 TFL, 4 sacks, 3 PBU, 7 QBH, 1 FF, 3 INT. Draft projection: 2nd/3rd round
