Ourlads' Profile:
2026 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about BILLY SCHRAUTH:
Notre Dame | Hometown: Campbellsport, WI | HT: 6043 | WT: 310 | 40 time: 5.20 | Hand: 1018 | Arm: 3318 | Wing: 8078
Two year starter. The team captain had a bit of an injury riddled career at Notre Dame, having started 22 games over his three years. Played the first seven games last fall before spraining his MCL. Has overcome some injuries to help lead the Irish against a vaunted schedule of college toughies. A burly guard plays with strong hands and moves defensive lineman back. Short choppy steps are a precursor to his exceptional leg drive. Has a relatively compact body which is hard to grab hold of. Climbs well to the second level. Will slam the nose guard in coordination with the center. Good job of sealing off the double team. As a pass protector, he gave up no sacks or hurries this past year. With his ability to sink his hips and anchor in, he is very seldom driven back into the quarterback. Has experience at both guard and tackle. Brings toughness and a positive attitude. Plays through the whistle. Struggles with quicker rushers. Tends to play with a high pad level. Foot speed hurts him on power pulls. Has had ankle and knee injuries. Missed nine games over the last two seasons. Has difficulty changing direction. With that being said, when he is playing he is a solid contributor and a talented offensive lineman. Needs to be on the field and healthy to prove this point. In the right situation, he has all the intangibles a team will need.
