Three year starter. First-team All-ACC in 2025. After two years at Connecticut he transferred to North Carolina State in 2024. A little undersized but decent length and big hands. Has grown into his position in college by adding more than 30 pounds to his body. Showed good receiving skills throughout his four years in college, catching 166 passes over his career. A bit of an overgrown wide receiver, his receiving skills separate him from many tight ends. Aggressive player, who wills himself to make the big catches. Has a wide receiver route tree and is effective on short and intermediate routes with the ability to get open. Adept at reading the defense and finding open areas and sitting in them. Has been very reliable to get open on scramble drill he shows good awareness of where the quarterback is and what his route he may convert to. He's not limited as to the depth of his route, can get to all the spots and makes solid route adjustments based on the defense and the defender. Has a big catch radius and can go up and get jump balls. As an H gets good movement to set up his block and can get to blocks in space. Needs to get more consistent on his punch and hand control on run blocking. Has some flexibility issues in bending knees and turning for back shoulder throws. Needs to come to balance in run blocking. A talented player with good upside. Gets open and catches the ball. Being able to handle the physical nature of the next level as a true tight end is in question, but has the tools to find a home in a tight end room.
