Two-year starter. Was first-team All-MVFC and an FCS All-American in 2025. Walter Payton finalist as well. He is the brother of NFL quarterback and former first round pick Trey Lance. The tall and long inside-out threat has the body and movement style of a basketball player who can go up and get it, but may lack some of the ideal fluidity in his lower body joints to play to an NFL-caliber speed at all levels of the route tree. His game centers around success in contested situations but the jump from FCS to the NFL is sizable to cause hesitation, as the lack of speed and twitch will be much more difficult to overcome. Strong vertical route runner who accelerates from his breaks and continues to build speed the further he travels. Has steady eyes to track the deep ball with the control and spatial awareness to put himself in an ideal position to bring it in. Ran a high variety of routes. Did not have the benefit from catching a lot of short passes. A hard-worker with intelligence against zone and on scramble plays. Struggles to drop his hips on comeback routes, often needing two extra steps. Lacks easy and smooth change of direction post-catch and will struggle to elude tacklers.
