Four-year starter. Transfer from Kansas State prior to the 2024 season. Most often aligned at boundary corner for Texas A&M. Tall, lengthy cornerback with solid muscle definition. Excels in man coverage. Patient at the snap with square hips and matching receivers step-for-step to slow them on the release. Battles with receivers on all parts of the field. Loose hips help him flip around his frame seamlessly and carry targets downfield. Violent in catch man using a violent punch and his big frame to disrupt routes and slow them down. Down the field he stays tight to the hip and breaks fluidly on the stem. Transition quickness is excellent for someone of his size; drops his weight well and gets downhill in a hurry. Turns his head around to track balls in the air while leaning into receivers and maintaining tight coverage. Extensive ball production using his physicality at the catchpoint and length to get his hands in passing windows. Long arms help him get his hands in the cookie jar when boxed; can break up passes from disadvantageous positioning. Excellent agility when dropping back in bail to keep everything in front of him. Polished footwork helps him break on passes rapidly. Impressive strength on contact to stand up bigger runners and limit yards-after-contact. Shows difficulty recognizing route concepts; can bite in both deep and underneath zone and allow completions in his area. Handsy playstyle makes him vulnerable to draw holding calls. Must improve his skills and willingness in run support, sometimes choosing not to come downhill at all including on explosive plays downfield. Angles in space need improvement. Inconsistencies taking on blocks; can get taken for a ride.
