Two year starter. Second-team All-SEC in 2025. Muhammad has a slim frame but decent length and height. Has some versatility as he's played multiple coverage, but is at his best in quarters playing off. Has some press and hard corner experience. In press man he flashes mirror skill and has the speed to recover if separated. As a hard corner he shows a stiff two hand jam to re-route and can be physical. Solid awareness of high low routes sinking under intermediate with a good eye for the delivery key. Plays match quarters and off-man with a big cushion and deliberate backpedal. Transitions well from pedal to lateral to turn and run as receivers threaten vertical. Smooth in transition getting his back to the boundary in zone and ability to close the void in overlapping zones. Rarely beaten deep. Sudden plant and drive coming forward reacting to hitches, slants and comebacks. Footwork is excellent with no false steps. Has been effective getting his inside hand to the catch point breaking up passes. Has been used on corner blitzes using his quickness to disrupt in the backfield. Willing in run support he's improved his wrap and drive tackling skill. That said, in some games he had trouble wrapping and had some bad misses in space. Footwork in press needs work as he often bites on the first move and loses leverage. Has a tendency to lunge instead of adjusting his feet. In phase he will at times sneak a peek at the quarterback and lose the receiver. Despite his speed he can lose connection on a deep route leaving his man open. His big cushion can get him too far from receivers and he gives up an easy completion. He has the tools but needs refinement and consistency.
