2026 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about WADE WOODAZ:
Clemson | Hometown: Tampa, FL | HT: 6033 | WT: 234 | 40 time: 4.56 | Hand: 1018 | Arm: 3234 | Wing: 7958
Two year starter. Honorable mention All-ACC in 2024 and 2025. Has solid height, weight, and length to play off the ball. Has experience at safety and has been a special team's ace on coverage and return teams. Has blocked several kicks in his career. As a linebacker his ability to read keys and generally makes the right run fits. He's a traditional shuffle, press and alley player with ability to scrape off-tackle and make plays in the alley. Takes positive angles and has range to make plays on outside runs. Usually around the ball on plays his side. Shows tackling skill with a tackle radius that allows him to wrap up ball carriers and make plays in space. Above average cover skill he has enough twitch to cover backs on flat releases and choice routes. Usually quick getting into zone drops with awareness of multiple routes. Doesn't play with great bend taking on blocks or tackling. Often catches blocks and is late to the party. Lacks block protection skill and too often allows climbing blockers into his frame. Needs to sink his hips and shoot his hands inside to improve stack and shed ability. More of a wrap and drag than gather and drive and will give up yards after contact. Agility is average and he can be slow re-directing to cutbacks and misdirection. Can be mechanical in pass drops and lose the throwing lane as a result. Woodaz does a lot well but makes few splash plays. His biggest impact has been on coverage teams and that may be his ticket to making an NFL team as a backup.
2025 Stats: 70 T, 7 TFL, .5 sack, 3 PBU, 2 QBH. Draft projection: 5th/6th round
