Two-year starter. Team captain. Honorable mention All-ACC the past two seasons. Tall with a thick frame and notable length. Explosiveness off the line helps him make extensive ground at the snap. Keeps active hands thumping linemen to knock them back. Quick reaction to different blocking schemes. Steps with angle blocks to maintain gap responsibility. Able to control linemen at the point-of-attack with a sturdy base and strong anchor. Excellent suddenness and start-stop ability help him work around the line-of-scrimmage and attack runners in his area. Can be a handful in pass rush as he bounces off of linemen like a pinball to squeeze into lanes. Cornering ability is spectacular with excellent hip fluidity to turn inside in a heartbeat. Dips underneath of tackles on slants with a strong rip to work towards the backfield. Traps blockers' arm to set up rapid swim moves to work past them.
