Two year starter. Has started the last 24 four games of his career. An athletic player with overall good fluid foot speed. Provided stable play at left tackle, he shows good quickness when lead blocking. Does a good job achieving his aiming point on screens. Is known as an overall good leader. Studies his opponent and their scheme. Gets in position quickly, with good hands and pop. Good arm length. Shows good speed and tracking to second level. Gets off the ball quickly. Shows good mirror technique with his footwork. Has a skillset that allows him to play any offensive line position. Has a lack of strength when trying to block the edge rusher. While overall ability to engage edge is good, clamp needs to be worked on. Does a nice job on powers and outside zone leading for the back. Doesn't always recognize what the defense is giving him. Needs to sustain blocks at the point of attack and drive defenders off the ball. Needs to add some functional weight, which should lead to an increase in his overall strength. Occasionally, opens the gate to inside moves by oversetting. Needs to keep his feet moving. Needs to gain some mass to help him anchor. Appears best suited for a zone based team and ability to anchor the blindside. The team that drafts him needs to be patient, but his overall talent and upside should be worth it.
