One year starter. Second-team All-SEC in 2025. Compact muscular frame with good upper body strength. Below average height, weight and length for the interior. Somewhat of a tweener but he's versatile aligning from a 5 to a 0 technique. Plays with an extremely hot motor and wins consistently with second effort. Quick first step with closing speed. Has some pop in his hands to stun and separate from blocks on the move. Excellent lateral movement and agility to make plays across the front. Blockers have a tough time getting a clean shot at him. Effective reading the blocking scheme and getting into gaps. Quickness and speed make him a disrupter on slant and stunt moves beating blockers and getting penetration. Has chase speed to pursue to the perimeter. Often from a 0 alignment slanted to the A gap and wrecked a blocking pattern or chased down a play in the backfield. Has a quick club to an arm over to escape a block on a gap move. Effective inside pass rusher with several moves including hand swipes, a swim and rip move. Often required help to keep him out of the backfield. Second effort and motor were a big part of his pass rush production. Lack of length and lower body strength shows up against bigger athletic linemen. Lacks an anchor and consistent leg drive against straight up blocks Has trouble with power and double teams and can get knocked off the ball. Tends to get upright if a blocker can square him up. A team that likes movement in their defensive line will be his best fit.
