One year starter. Consensus first-team All-SEC and consensus second-team All-American in 2024. Transfer from Oregon State in 2024. Missed the entire 2025 season recovering from an ACL injury he suffered in January. Practiced late in the season and was seemingly set to come back but did not play in a game. Well put together athletic corner with extreme quickness and agility. Has experience in a wide variety of coverage and technique including quarters, hard corner, cover three, press and off man. Often aligned in a press position and either plays press man or bails into a lateral run on the release. In press he can be physical with hand usage but maintains balance on his off-hand stab or two hand jam. Can be a pest with being disruptive at the stem. His ability to mirror and drive on route breaks is incredible. His positioning throughout the route tree is elite in both man and zone coverage. As a deep outside defender he's adept at covering ground defending overlapping zones. Sudden plant and drive on the throw he gets his hands on a lot of balls. Outstanding ball production in 2024, he can attack the catch point and wins most 50/50 battles. With soft hands and timing he can high point interception opportunities. Solid tackling skill, he flies into ball carriers with a burst and consistently secures tackles in space. Will give up leverage occasionally in press by biting on the first move away from leverage. Can have trouble with shifty receivers' sudden breaks. Occasionally out of control on tackles he will lunge at times trying to make a big hit. In his one year as a starter he showed few but he still needs seasoning. He'll also have to show he hasn't lost anything from the player he was in 2024.
2024 Stats: 44 T, .5 TFL, 9 PBU, 4 INT. Draft projection: 1st round
