Four year starter with two at Maryland. Honorable mention All-Big 10 in 2025. Well-built frame to go with solid height and length for a linebacker. Started the season playing inside linebacker and got occasional reps there as the season went on. After four starts he moved primarily to the edge showing off some versatility to play multiple spots. He aligned in a wide 9 to a 6 on a tight end. On the edge he shows a quick first step and shoots his hands to get separation from blockers. Can set the edge getting underneath blocks with power to stack and shed. Can sift inside to make plays along the line. At inside linebacker he's a classic downhill thumper fitting inside gaps and making plays inline. Shuffles laterally on plays moving off tackle to outside and has above average ability to scrape outside and chase. Has been an effective inside blitzer with a closing burst in the backfield. This transferred well to the edge as a pass rusher. Has bend and speed to turn the corner. He's a speed to power rusher often using a bull rush into a move. Physical tackling skill he explodes into tackles with bend and drive. In coverage he has speed to stay with backs out of the backfield and gets depth in his drops both aligned inside and on the edge. However he lacks a feel for pattern pressure and often finds himself covering air and slow to react on the throw. His coverage reps have been limited but if that's part of his game he'll need some development. As an edge rusher he needs to develop more in his pass rush arsenal as he lacks consistent ability to stack moves. Could be an interesting chess piece in the NFL.
