Transfer from Houston prior to the 2025 season, and previously New Mexico. Most commonly played deep in one-high and two-high schemes with some snaps rolled down in the slot in LSU's defensive scheme. Elite instincts and recognition skills. Recognizes deep routes from single-high and possesses considerable range to take away targets for the quarterback. Sees plays before they happen with exceptional ability to read the quarterback and see routes develop with excellent vision. In zone coverage he picks up and passes off targets with ease, ready to trigger on the throw. Accelerates quickly to close space when the ball comes out. Showed promise in man coverage taking away bigger targets with physicality. Elite ball skills and finds ways to get his hands on the ball; eight interceptions, and eleven pass breakups over the past two seasons. Drops his weight and transitions in an instant to drive on underneath routes and break up passes with hard hits and well-timed strong punches. More than willing to support the run with aggression to fill lanes. Burst out of his stance and start-stop ability are highly impressive when hunting down and leveraging runners. Works his way through traffic to find ball carriers in condensed space. Runs his feet on contact and enjoys lighting up runners to finish plays. High motor player in pursuit. Needs to improve overall man coverage skills. Crafty route-runners will be able to lose him in man coverage, and sometimes will get out-muscled by bigger receivers. Angles in space need some improvement and cause him to miss some tackles.
