Three-year starter. Two-time All-Big 10. Began his career with 311 pass attempts without throwing an interception, an all-time FBS record. Led the Nittany Lions to a 23-5 record as a starter and finished fourth in program history in yards despite missing the last seven games of 2025 with a broken ankle. He is an easy prospect to initially like. Has standout size and easy arm strength to fit the profile of a prototype pocket passer. He protected the ball at a high level and won a high percentage of his games. However, he had a lot of opportunities against big-time opponents and failed to come through too often. He was 2-7 against top 25 teams who played in the Power Four/Power Five conferences. The upside will be chased and the door is still open to him being a starter because the supporting cast at Penn State was never good enough and he can do things very few can. Erratic ball placement and inconsistent mechanics were constant issues but another constant were his flashes of rare talent and tools. Effortlessly launches the ball 50+ yards downfield. Very low turnover rate. Good vision and feel as a ball carrier; will create on his own. Overly reliant on short, easy dump off throws. Shows heavy, clunky feet when maneuvering in the pocket. Poor footwork leads to balance issues which creates wide misses. Does not always throw a smooth, catchable ball. Erratic ball placement overall. Hesitant and lacking confidence on tight window throws and it leads to a low number of anticipation passes.
