Three year starter. Transfer from Mississippi in 2023. Second-team All-Big 10 in 2025. Has a top-tier combination of height, length, weight and speed. Long arms are a notable trait that is useful in press coverage and getting hands to the catch point. Has experience in a variety of coverage, most often in match concepts both press and off. Also has experience in hard corner Cover two and Cover three. At his best in press man where his length comes into play with a stiff off-hand jam to disrupt the release. With a smooth turn and run he can mirror throughout the route and can be extremely sticky reacting on route breaks. Recovers well if separated and has a recovery burst to get back in phase. Has the speed to stay with deep vertical routes. In off coverage shows a faced up shuffle pedal or catch technique often playing with a big cushion initially. As a zone defender he's solid to pass off crossers and close the void between zones while finding work in overlapping zones. Generally proficient getting off blocks using his long arms and punch to get separation. Fundamentally sound wrap and drive tackling technique along with a big tackle radius is consistently observed on plays his way. Adept at reacting to perimeter runs and hitch screens. Has been productive breaking on underneath throws, limiting gains and challenging the catch. Has some trouble with cushion in off coverage giving up too much room. He's inconsistent with plant and drive and can be a little slow reacting at times. Can be a little late reacting in press and occasionally gives up leverage at the snap. Some vulnerability to double moves and he has had problems grabbing if separated. Has improved but is prone to penalties as a result. Has the toolset of a starting NFL corner.
