Ohio State | Hometown: Guilford, IN | HT: 6045 | WT: 247 | 40 time: 4.65 | Hand: 0878 | Arm: 3258 | Wing: 7718
Two year starter. Was named first-team All-Big 10 in 2025. Transferred to Ohio State following the 2024 season at Purdue (2022-2024), where he caught 51 passes (in an offense that struggled). A tough and athletic player who likes to mix it up. A very good route runner. Excels against zone coverage, displaying an instinctive feel for gaps in coverage. Has the ability to win in the short passing game. Has an explosive burst to separate out of a break. Can adjust to bad balls with a good catch radius. Has decent speed and can be a mismatch when aligned in the slot. Has a wide receiver route tree and can find holes in zone coverage. Toughness allows him to break tackles and he consistently gets yards after contact. Like a basketball player, does a nice job of blocking out defenders to get open. Works hard in the run game. Will work across the line on the power and stay after the safety. Tenacious to stay with blocks. Looks for work at different levels in the run game. Still a work in progress to be a complete tight end. Plays with high pads. At times has inconsistent hands. Needs to continue to work on finding an aiming point, and try to get his hands inside the framework of the defender. Has some injury history, dating back to 2023. A throwback player to when tight ends could block and catch. Quality receiver with evolving blocking skills. Overall, not a finished product, but trends into becoming a reliable next level player.
2025 Stats: 43-448, 10.4 ypr, 2 TD. Draft projection: 2nd/3rd round
