Two year starter. First-team All-SEC in 2025. Muscular, somewhat compact frame, he possesses solid functional strength and athleticism. He plays bigger than his size. Was the quarterback of the Georgia defense making checks and getting everyone lined up. Has some experience as a fullback as well. Excellent initial read and react showing patience and precise angles to the ball. Smooth lateral mover with ability to maintain backside leverage on a back as the play moves outside. Has range in pursuit and flashes ability to chase to the sideline. Uses quick hands to stun and work through blocks on the move. Does the job scraping outside and squaring up ball carriers in the alley. Shows exceptional wrap and drive tackling skill consistently finishing. Has good timing on A and B gap blitzes and can disrupt blocking schemes and make plays in the backfield. Solid spot dropper in zone coverage with proper depth and quickness reacting on the throw. Has improved ability to close out the throwing lane and make quarterbacks re-load. Has above average skill in man coverage, he can mirror most backs on flat releases and choice routes. Has made some big hits after the catch and limits yards after contact. That said, he doesn't make a lot of plays on the ball. Some hip tightness shows covering shifty backs and he can struggle getting separated on double moves. Occasionally gets on the wrong side of blocks and goes back door losing his leverage on the ball carrier. Athletic climbing blockers have sealed him off from plays on off-tackle and outside runs. Allen has the floor of a quality starter with three down potential. Should contribute on special teams.
