Two year starter. Third-team All-SEC in 2025. Has ideal size for an NFL defensive end with a well proportioned physique, height and length. Has the frame to add more mass. Aligned in a four point stance for the most part with some time in a two point. Played from a wide 9 down to a 4i with a lot of 5 and 6 technique. Is most effective as a 5 technique where he uses his power effectively to stuff the run. Long arms and strong hands allow him to get separation from a tackle's block and shed working to the ball. Used a quick arm-over to escape aligned over a tackle or tight end. Makes a lot of plays along the line. Effective setting the edge with quick hands shooting into a blocker and agility to re-direct off blocks. From a 6i has shown a spin move to get off a hook block and back into the play. Long strides cover ground chasing and he can make plays to the sideline on the edge. Has fundamental tackling skill and power to finish. As a pass rusher he's effective with a bull rush into an arm over or under along with several inside counters. Also has a reliable push pull move to escape and work around a tackle. Can be late to work a move or counter and has trouble consistently disengaging from blocks. Gets more pressure than sacks and could use some refinement as a pass rusher. Some inconsistency with pad level as he tends to get upright working a move in the pass rush. Needs to be more consistent coordinating knee bend and pop with his hands to get leverage against powerful blockers. He's a traits base prospect who could develop into a 3-4 or 4-3 defensive end that could work inside in nickel packages.
