One-year starter. All-Big 10 in 2025. He finished top three in the Power Four in both missed tackles forced and touchdown catches in his breakout season. His physical play style and never-say-quit mentality raises the ceiling of what his tools would normally produce. While he is not the biggest or fastest, he can wear multiple receiver hats and find different ways to contribute all over the offensive scheme. His involvement is not limited to specific areas, but a broad spectrum no matter the play design. This is an easy-to-like weapon with the ball in his hands who exploded onto the scene in his fourth year. However, the lack of top-end speed and size create a small margin for error with the skill set that must be smoother to reach his ceiling as a solid number two threat. Strong and compact frame. Takes hits like a rock and will remain upright in search of hidden yards. Makes himself small and slippery to defenders and regenerates his movement traits after contact. Loose but explosive lower body aids his route running to make sharp, sudden breaks out of his stem. Separation comes natural for him. Strength at the catch point is a difference maker and will play bigger than his size suggests. Short strider makes change of direction easy when adjusting to the ball with balance and control. Constant cutbacks and extra cuts are partially a result of a lack of top end speed. Simply does not have that last gear to be a credible deep threat. Needs some smoke and mirrors to win vertically. Will round his routes downfield and needs to hammer away at more precise footwork. Has less-than-ideal length. Late bloomer.
