Started 22 games over the last two seasons. In 2025, he was named first-team All-Big 12 after allowing only one sack this season. By today's standards, a bit undersized, but he brings a laundry list of skills, character and intelligence to the gridiron. After a slow start in 2025, he climbed the ladder of every weekly challenge and has grown into the player who possibly could become a first round pick in this draft cycle. A strong physical player, with the need to add some bulk, 15 to 20 pounds that will help fill out his body to an excellent finished product. Comes off the ball with a piercing strike. Has very strong hands which once locked on it's tough to break. Has good lateral quickness with pulling guard-like foot speed. Has excellent understanding of what the defense is trying to do and picks up tricks and blitzes with proper technique. Is quick out of his stance. Shows good ability to locate second level players and beat them to the spot. An ideal type player for a zone based offense. Lateral quickness allows his biggest asset speed and quickness to shine. Struggles a bit with a head on defensive lineman (anchored in), needs to root him out. Needs to settle in against a quick edge rusher, be more patient. Needs to continue to develop run blocking strength and keep his feet and hands coordinated in firing off the ball. As a run blocker, he is not as physical in the ground game. Not overly strong or physical to drive defenders off the ball and ride them around the field. Has a good mentality as he looks to hit and get after defenders. While he is not as powerful as a run blocker, he shows the athleticism and mobility to execute zone runs. As he continues to add depth to his toolbox, his upside will be whatever he wants it to be. An easy pick for a patient team who will continue to develop him. He is one of the top tackles coming out and still has youth as an upside.
