Two year starter. First-team All-Mountain West, Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year and second-team AP All-American in 2025. Has a solid frame and decent height for a corner and displays excellent athleticism. He's been a dominant player in the Mountain West showing skill in both man and zone concepts. Technically sound in all areas, he's played multiple concepts including deep outside quarters, Cover two and three, along with press and off man. In off coverage he shows a smooth pedal while changing speeds to maintain cushion at the stem. He's fluid in transitioning from pedal to lateral run and easily flips his hips to run and stay in phase with vertical routes. Has the speed to cover deep. As a zone defender he shows ability to balance routes in overlapping zones. He's adept at using peripheral vision to process route combinations and react to the delivery key. Has a burst to close with the ball in the air and attacks the catch point. Solid ball skills to get his hand in the basket along with good hands for interception opportunities. In press man he's reactive at the snap and is extremely sticky with the ability to mirror and stay in phase throughout the route tree. In run support he can separate from stalk blocks and make plays on the perimeter. Shows impressive wrap, drive and finish tackling skill. Occasionally gives up leverage in press and has to recover. At times has an extra or rounded off step on plant and drive. As a result can get separated on route breaks against quick-footed receivers. Can be vulnerable on deeper comeback routes. On occasion can be in phase and lose the receiver and the ball allowing completions in close quarters. He has NFL tools and projects as a versatile outside corner.
