Three-year starter. Transferred from Purdue prior to the 2025 season. Second-team All-America this past season. Long, athletic, rangy safety with excellent athletic traits. Aligns all over the field including deep safety in one, two, and three-high alignments, the slot, and in the box. Smooth backpedal with fluid hips to open up and bail with notable agility. Quick to read and react to what is happening in front of him especially from depth. Fluid mover in space with agility, fluid hips, and change-of-direction, and strides across the field with his length. Excellent burst out of his stance versus run to get downhill and fill running lanes. Takes on blocking receivers and tight ends with toughness to squeeze and constrict lanes. Uses a combination of assertiveness and strength to fit into gaps and attack the ball carrier at the line or in the backfield. Great angles versus outside hitting plays from depth maintaining proper leverage. Versus pass, excellent at adjusting with quarterback intentions to put himself in position to make plays often. Able to match and carry tight ends and running backs in man coverage. Closes space on receivers with impressive burst and acceleration to get in-phase quickly. Tracks the ball well to get in the way of passes. Shows form, strength, and foot drive to bring bigger tight ends and running backs to the ground. Very high effort player in pursuit who often makes plays from the back side. Fringe range to be a true one-high safety at the next level. In off-man he leaves a big cushion allowing receivers to separate immediately. Can bite hard on play-action leaving open throwing lanes behind him. Takes bad angles to the ball in the box due to his aggressive nature.
