Five year starter with two at West Virginia. Transferred to Miami in 2022 and became an immediate starter. Missed the majority of 2023 with a foot injury. First-team All-ACC and Sporting News All-American in 2025. Thick build and good size for a 4-3 defensive end, he's been productive as a pass rusher and an improving run defender. He's played from a wide 9 to 5 technique in both a two and three point stance. Sudden at the snap he shows an explosive pop with his hands and gets extension, allowing him to shed on the move. Excellent lateral movement allows him to work inside and make plays along the line. Shows range to chase down plays on the perimeter. He's improved ability to stack and shed and can blow up pullers on power runs. Effective on inside stunts, disrupting blocking schemes and making plays in the backfield. At his best as a pass rusher with an array of moves. Has speed to power along with active hands to keep blockers off his frame. Has an impressive bull rush into an arm under and has solid bend to turn the corner at the top of the rush. He's proficient with various chops and swipes to go with counter moves. His ability to quickly change directions makes him a threat to come back inside against oversetting tackles. His out to in move has been effective at collapsing pockets and creating immediate pressure. He has some experience dropping off in flat coverage but has not made an impact there. Has an alarming missed tackle percentage with several misses in space. He's improved in that area and flashed explosive gather and drive tackling skill. Not the strongest setting the edge and has some trouble getting turned by powerful tackles. Has been overshadowed by Rueben Bain but late season tape is just as impressive.
