Two year starter. Second-team All-Big 12 last fall. Didn't begin playing football until enrolling at East Los Angeles College in 2021, transferred to Arizona State in 2023. Made 26 consecutive starts his junior and senior years. He is as athletic a specimen as you will find in this draft. Had quite the impressive showing at the Senior Bowl and Combine, which may have put to rest some of his doubters. Shows quality mirror drill type of feet. Last season he gave up zero sacks in 484 pass attempts. Had a quality game against two of college football's best pass rushers at Texas Tech. Has good foot quickness due to basketball and soccer background. When staying square, he shows great point of attack strength along with the ability to run his feet to sustain blocks. With good hand placement he can control and move defenders. Has an aggressive edge in his overall game. With his foot speed, he gets to the second level, however his inexperience sometimes shows when he gets there. Needs consistency shooting his hands out straight, as he can be slow to punch at times. Struggles with speed rushers. As he settles in, he will learn to sit down with his anchor. Needs better recognition of what the defense is doing. Will have to curb some of his foul infractions. This player is as green as can be, having played football for less than five years. He's made remarkable progress for his experience. His future is bright, just needs a patient mentor to bring him along. Could become the ultimate value pick at offensive line in this draft.
