Three year starter. Transferred from Louisville after the 2022 season. Long, powerful player with ideal dimensions and athletic traits for a defensive lineman. An injury sidelined him for all but three games in 2025. He's versatile with ability to play all along the defensive front. He's aligned in a 1 out to a wide 5 technique. Shows first step quickness and ability to penetrate a gap and disrupt blocking schemes. Frequently used a slant technique as part of the Gators' defense. Powerful holding the point, he handles double teams and is rarely moved out. Can stack and shed with a jolt, getting separation while keeping his feet moving. Shows a quick arm over and a violent club move with the ability to stack moves to get free. Can come off blocks and make tackles inline. Has some chase ability once free and normally hustles until the whistle. Has flashed pass rush skill with a diversified set of moves. Adept at using a bull rush and push pull and combining those as part of his arsenal. Has effective counters using arm over, rip, chop and club moves. His pursuit is limited to inline as he lacks sustained speed. He tends to run out of gas and technique gets sloppy. Occasionally gets upright on blocks and gets in a stalemated hand fighting battle. Can be slow to come off blocks as a result. Will fall off tackles at times and has an over 25% career missed tackle percentage. There are times when Banks flashes the ability of a superior interior defender, but he's been inconsistent. He battled injury and on his return looked sluggish for the most part. He did have several solid reps at the Senior Bowl. An NFL team has to decide if his upside is worthy of a high pick.
