Three year starter. A 2025 consensus All-America and first-team All-ACC. Started all 42 games the last three seasons at right tackle. This big bodied man has excellent, violent athletic ability, with strong hands and exceptional lower body strength. He appeared to be making an upward rise in his play as the season moved forward. Physically checks all the boxes. Washes down the inside gap and is a climber to the second level. A dominant player when the defender is aligned on him. His ability to anchor against a bull rusher is a cut above. A key component to combination blocks is his ace in the hole, as he moves players to the second level and beyond. Plays with an aggressive edge, which has destruction of the front always in his mind. His mindset on achieving line of scrimmage dominance is second to none. Has excellent punch followed with his feet for a great base in pass protection. Could also play guard with his skill set and body type, his arm length may lead him to this position. Lowers his back end as he engages in pass protection. Struggles a bit in space, as his pad level rises as the game goes on. Needs to continue to develop foot speed laterally. Has a thick muscular bottom half, which makes him need to continue to develop his get off. Needs to continue to improve upon getting the proper angles to arrive at his destination. There is nothing glaring in his skill set that is not refinable, just takes a little more finishing. It's easy to see why he is so highly thought of in draft circles, a key thing as he is observed is his room for continued growth, which is a huge plus. The type of player you can build your future offensive line around. Definitely in consideration as the top offensive tackle in this season's draft.
