Three year starter. First-team All-Big 10 and consensus All-American in 2025. Son of former Buckeye and NFL linebacker Lorenzo Styles and brother of Buckeye corner Lorenzo Styles Jr. Toolsy and versatile linebacker prospect possessing ideal size and length to play off the ball. He was a starting safety in 2023 before moving to linebacker. He can play overhang as well as inside. A fluid mover he has excellent change of direction skill to make plays in space. His long arms help him keep blockers at bay and he's adept at stacking and shedding blockers on the move. Effective slipping blocks against climbing offensive linemen and chasing down ball carriers across the field. He has improved inside run fits, flashing downhill skill to go with agility in traffic to make plays along the line. Has elite tackling skill with gather, drive and finish. Doesn't miss tackles as he refuses to let a shifty ball carrier leave him in the dust. Flashes blitz skill hitting inside gaps. As a former safety he has aptitude for coverage and can cover a lot of ground. His length is a factor in the throwing lane playing zone concepts. Solid man defender with mirror ability on backs releasing. He has the speed to stay with a back on a vertical route. Has been effective in Cover 2 easily flipping his hips to run the seam. Coverage from the linebacker position has been a work in progress but he's improved balancing multiple routes. At times he doesn't keep his head on a swivel to see the threats and the quarterback. Can get caught focusing on one receiver. Has struggled at times against play action getting caught inside. Inside run fits are off at times and he can get caught up with a powerful blocker. He has the upside of a top-tier three down linebacker.
