2026 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about ARVELL REESE:

Ohio State | Hometown: Cleveland, OH | HT: 6041 | WT: 241 | 40 time: 4.46 | Hand: 0912 | Arm: 3212 | Wing: 7912

One year starter. First-team All-Big 10, first-team consensus All-American and Butkus-Fitzgerald Big Ten Linebacker of the Year. Physical player with outstanding length and size for a linebacker. Reese had been a backup and special teams' player although with significant defensive snaps in 2024. He burst out of the gate in 2025 with some outstanding play in all phases. He's versatile, lining up all over the Buckeyes' defense playing off the ball inside and overhang along with lining up on the edge and rushing the passer. Shows natural instincts inside with outstanding read and react. He consistently locates the ball and can clog up holes attacking downhill. Uses long arms and violent hands to stack and shed as well as slip blocks on the move. He's a smooth lateral mover with incredible range to chase across the field. In chase mode he maintains back hip leverage on ball carriers and shows a closing burst to the alley and perimeter. Has excellent gather, wrap, and drive tackling skill and rarely misses. Consistently makes plays in space. Length helps in coverage and he gets good depth of drop stressing the throwing lane and creating issues for quarterbacks. He flashes an explosive plant and drive with the ball in the air. Playing on the edge he's sudden at the snap with the speed and bend to consistently turn the corner as a pass rusher. Uses a bull rush into a rip as a go to move. He shows an extra gear closing on the quarterback. Occasionally will over run a play being too aggressive and he can struggle in space at times. As a zone defender he can get too attracted to one receiver and has had some trouble with play action. How to use him will be a good problem for an NFL team. He needs some refinement in coverage and as a pass rusher as he needs more consistent hand usage. He definitely has an impact player skill set.

2025 Stats: 69 T, 10 TFL, 6.5 sacks, 2 PBU, 5 QBH. OSR:4/33. 10-1.60. Draft projection: 1st round
