Ourlads' Profile:
Two-year starter. Hayward, CA. Spent two years at Chabot College before transferring to Washington State in 2023. Pole had a very late start to the game. He went all of high school without ever playing the game and even spent the year after on the outside looking in. Pole began his career on the defensive line prior to shifting to the offensive side in 2021. He was recruited by multiple programs in the transfer portal and settled on Washington State where he started for two seasons. Pole has natural balance and quickness in his lower body to play tackle in the NFL. He has a big frame with developing strength but there remains a shortcoming in his overall skill set when it comes to consistency. He is a streaky player, understandably so. The lack of repeated techniques, notably with his hands, cause significant losses that appear in stretches. The baseline athleticism and mass keeps his floor high enough to bring in and try to develop. Pole is as early on the progression curve as any player in this draft and he has proven tape which has mightily improved from 2023 to 2024 already. He is a rare day three talent who has a credible starter-ceiling.
