Four-year starter. Two-time All-Big 10. A crafty inside-out threat who did most of his work short to intermediate. While his athleticism will limit the impact he can make vertically and after the catch, there are obvious signs of know-how and intelligence. He excels at creating separation with skillful routes and ball skills. Eighty-three of his 134 catches over the last two years resulted in a first down or touchdown. However, just 30 of them went for over 20 yards. The lack of explosiveness and merely average physical tools will put him in the slot and to live there, he needs to get more effective after the catch. Does a nice job of hiding intentions post-snap. Gets off the line with urgency and can switch it up versus press corners. Excellent ball location and tracking. Comes back to the ball and frames it with his hands. Does not separate vertically well enough. Needs to break more tackles post-catch. Radius does not overcome crowded areas. Not productive enough against his best competition. He is useful as a backup slot but needs to provide more value to maintain a roster spot.
2024 Stats: 75-863, 11.5 ypr, 4 TD. SS-4.07. Draft projection: 5th-6th round
