Junior entry, three-year starter, Brunswick, GA. First team All-SEC in 2022. McClendon has family ties to the Georgia program. His uncle played running back for the Bulldogs in the 1970’s and his cousin is the current wide receiver coach and pass game coordinator. Warren has been a career-right tackle for Georgia but has a versatile skill set. Does not always look pretty and precise, but there is no disputing the results. Has not allowed a sack since 2020 (34 games) and brings reliable intangibles to the table. Smart and experienced player that shows a good feel post-snap. Steady footwork and hand placement. Gives himself angle-advantages with an efficient and accurate first two steps. Can stop a truck when he is lined up. Anchor plays bigger than his size. Hips are tight and it shows up against quality double moves. Reactionary speed and quickness may prevent him from a space-heavy role. Redirect is poor. Does not win many leverage battles. Needs to keep more awareness on active feet at the second level in the running game. Needs to add weight and improve some of the lethargic twitch below his waist, both correctable, before being thrown into the mix but everything else is there to fill a backup role. The team captain has multiple physical shortcomings that can put a strict cap on his upside. May need to spend a year on a practice squad where a team can find his best fit along the offensive line.
