One year starter, Guelph, Ontario. Transferred from the University of Guelph in Canada in 2020. He was a starter there before coming to Mississippi. He’s a long, tall, somewhat raw prospect who has shown improvement each season. Shows a quick take off and is consistent to shoot his hands at the tackle. Plays with knee bend and moves well laterally to set the edge or redirect inside. Can ride a blocker on the edge, come off and make tackles in space. As a pass rusher has a variety of moves including arm over, under and cross chop. Flashes speed into power with a quick bullrush into a move. Shows a solid speed rush with bend and squeeze to the quarterback. He’s excellent at hitting gaps on inside stunts. He could use more of a counter as his moves will stall at times. Lacks functional strength to consistently hold up against strong blockers. Stack and shed will stall at times and he can be slow to get off a block. Struggles with power schemes as he can be washed out of a play on double teams and down blocks. Powerful athletic tackles can neutralize his pass rush and knock him upright. Coming out of Canada he is still learning the game and has upside to develop. Will compete for backup duty but may find himself on a practice squad for further development.
