Four-year starter, Greensburg, LA. Spent three years at Louisiana prior to transferring to Florida in 2022. Earned first team All-Sun Belt honors in 2021, second team in 2020. Shined in his lone season in the SEC, earning first team All-SEC and All-America honors. Torrence followed Head Coach Bill Napier to Gainesville, upping his level of competition with an enormous leap. Not only did he continue his dominant play, but he also appeared to raise his skill set in a vacuum. His game revolves around overwhelming power and strength. Once he gets those enormous bear claws latched onto the defender, it is over. He shows advanced awareness and decision-making ability as well when it comes to pass protection and complex stunts, twists, and blitzes. While he will not be mistaken for a track star, he is a good enough athlete to supplement his elite power. Wide-framed with massive hands. Thick around the hips with enough squat-strength and bend to use the lower half as tree stumps that are deeply rooted. Shows the suddenness in his upper body to re-adjust his hands. Stays active throughout engagement. Shows good balance as he attacks his man in the running game. Heavy contact at the line. Peels off to the second level with precise timing and accuracy. Dangerous trap blocker that sends a violent jolt to his target with that locomotive momentum. Will lose the reach-battle at times. Arms get stumpy and need to be more assertive off the snap. Lacks the initial explosion to consistently get push. Needs to get more consistent with lower body techniques to stay square. Outside shoulder gets soft and the recovery speed is not naturally there. Torrence shined after taking the jump in competition and there are plenty of reasons to believe he will do the same following his next step up the ladder in the NFL.
