Plays primarily in the box but gets reps on the edge walked off or over a tight end. Flashes downhill ability with initial read and shows solid lateral movement and agility. Can make plays in the backfield and in pursuit. Physical with hands to stun and separate from blocks. Solid fundamentals tackling. Deliberate in pass drop he re-routes inside receivers and works back into the throwing lane. Long arms make him hard to throw over. Lacks power to consistently take on blocks inline. Will get washed out of a play at times. Some hesitation in read, looking for blocks instead of finding the ball. Has had some problems with angle blocks on the move. Inconsistent with pursuit angles at times running himself out of plays along with misses in space. Solid athlete but questionable instincts for a linebacker.
