High energy player he gets the most out of his frame. Has experience as a deep zone safety in Cover 2 and quarters along with playing one high. Also drops down to the box and plays match or flat coverage. Tracks well moving downhill with the lateral agility to react to elusive ball carriers. Drives into tackles and consistently wraps and gets ball carriers down. In limited man to man reps he’s shown mirror ability in a short space. Solid eye discipline to read the delivery key while closing the voids in deep zones. Can flip his hips to get over the top and at the same level as receivers. Outstanding ball skills he can find the catch point and high point interceptions. In underneath coverage plays the throwing lane while balancing multiple routes. Always around the ball with a knack for turnovers. Several fumble recoveries along with interceptions. Instincts get him to a lot of plays but his range is somewhat suspect. There have been times a late reaction gets him out of position. Occasionally gets into a shoe string tackle or miss by taking a poor angle. He generally recovers if out of position and his ball skills and production have been solid at the collegiate level. Has also been an outstanding special team player pressuring punts and covering kicks.
