Ourlads' Profile:
2016 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about JOE HAEG: North Dakota State, 6060 304 5.16. Four-year starter from Lake Shore, MN. Consensus FCS All-America. Was a STATS FCS Offensive Player of the Year finalist, the first lineman ever. Was voted the top FCS offensive lineman in 2015 by FCS athletic directors. Former walk-on who started 29 games at right tackle and 31 straight games at left tackle the past two years. Played hockey in high school. Played in a West Coast style run-oriented offensive scheme. Blocks one-on-one targets with a good fire, fit, and follow through. Good agility to mirror and slide his feet as a pass protector. Has explosive power on down blocks. Plays with a good base and has been a consistent achiever over his career. Aggressive and physical in his play. Athletic enough to pull and fold block on the second level. Quick enough laterally to hook and seal a defensive end. If he loses his knee bend, he can get walked back to the quarterback. Needs more core strength to deal with the power rushers he’ll see on Sundays. Haeg has the body, length, and functional foot mobility for an NFL lineman, but will need pro physical and technique development. Did not lift at his pro day due to an injured shoulder at the Senior Bowl. OSR:9/47. Fifth/sixth round. (A-33 3/4, H-9 5/8, BP-DNP, 10-1.76).
