Ourlads' Profile:
2019 Guide: What Ourlads' Scouting Services said about CHASE HANSEN: Utah, 6027 222 4.75. Three year starter from Highland, UT. Was a two year starter as a safety before making the switch to a full time outside linebacker in the Utah scheme. He fits as an NFL hybrid/nickel linebacker who could back up at safety or project to a Will in a 4-3. Quick in a short area with solid change of direction. Uses his hands to take on and shed blocks. Good strength for his size. Adjusts well in space and tackles well in pursuit. Plays with a motor and makes a lot of plays close to the line on the edge. Solid zone awareness with a feel for the short underneath zones. Can flip his hips back inside to close voids and locate receivers. Balances pattern pressure while reading the quarterback. Reacts quickly on the throw. Has ball skills for the pass break and interception. When in phase and in man-to-man coverage he challenges the catch point. Productive getting his hands on balls and stressing the throwing lane. Mirrors cuts in man-to-man and has enough speed to run with a slot on a vertical. Can blitz effectively from over a slot. Plays a little out of control at times and loses his path to the ball. Some medical concerns could muddy the picture. 2018 stats: 114 T, 22 TFL, 5 sacks, 4 PBU, 1 QBH, 2 INT (1 TD). Medical exclusion at Combine, lumbar spine. Sixth/seventh round. (A-30 1/2, H-9 3/8, BP-DNP, SS-DNP).
