Ourlads' Profile:
2022 Guide: What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about ISAAC TAYLOR-STUART:
USC, 6014 201 4.42. Junior entry, one-year starter, San Diego, CA. Also had some starting experience as a redshirt freshman. Imposing corner prospect with speed, length and size. Primarily an outside corner playing press and off man along with deep outside zone coverage. In off man plays with a smooth pedal and turn and run. He plays with a big cushion in off coverage and has the speed to stay with vertical releases. Flashes quickness in plant and drive with the ball in the air. In press man, sticks and off-hand jam at the line to disrupt the release. Can mirror most route breaks with above average agility. Can run with speed. Shows solid ball skills while in phase getting his hands at the catch point to break up a pass. In run support uses leverage and the sideline well. Fundamentally sound tackling he can wrap and drive. That said, he gives away yards by giving too much room and angles to the ball can be off. On contact can get dragged. In off coverage big cushion can be too big and he gives up yards on a lot of underneath throws. Can be slow to flip his hips reacting to intermediate route breaks. Appears too worried about getting beat deep to be a factor on shorter throws. Makes more tackles than plays on the ball. Appears to have the athletic tools to succeed but needs development. Has been a solid special team player.
