A lengthy versatile player who has experience as a corner, nickel back, and safety. Has outstanding speed and an aggressive demeanor. As a nickel has played both man and zone and flashed play making skill. Playing zone is quick with his drop and finds the throwing lane. Playing underneath intermediate routes he is quick and fast closing on short throws. Has made some big hits and interceptions that have turned into points. Can get his hands to the catch point and break up a pass. Played a lot of off man in the slot and outside. He often collisions the receiver on vertical releases using length to jam and disrupt. Consistently stays in phase on vertical routes. In limited deep safety has played well getting over vertical routes. Physical in run support he attacks blockers and can shed on the move. Solid tackler he launches into tackles, wraps and brings ball carriers down. Elite speed to chase down plays across the field or close in the backfield on an edge blitz. Somewhat of a long strider he is tight changing direction and often takes an extra step in transition. Transitions tend to be segmented and he can get separated on quick cuts. Occasionally gambles undercutting a route and loses the play. Will over run a tackle at times being over aggressive. He declared for the draft after five games in 2020 and missed playing time with injury. He’s still somewhat raw but versatility and speed will be attractive as a later round pick.
